Electrolyzer components include an electrolyte (like an alkaline solution or proton exchange membrane), two electrodes (an anode and a cathode), and a separator or diaphragm to keep gases apart. For larger systems, these basic components are combined into cells, which are then connected in a stack, and the overall system includes power supplies, pumps, and storage tanks for the produced gases
